How to play Reef Connect
Tap two matching sea creatures to clear them. They must be joinable by a line with no more than two turns.

Goal
Clear the reef by connecting pairs of matching sea creatures until every tile is gone.
How to play
- The board is a grid of tiles, each showing a sea creature. Every creature appears at least twice.
- Click one tile, then click a second tile with the same creature.
- The pair connects, and the tiles disappear, only if a path of empty space joins them with at most two turns. The path can run around the outside edge of the board.
- If the creatures differ, or the path needs more than two turns, it counts as a miss and your streak resets. In Survival mode each miss also costs a life.
- As tiles clear, more paths open up. Clear the whole board to finish it.
- If no moves are left, the reef reshuffles itself automatically.
Tips
- Start with tiles on the edges, since they connect easily, then work inward.
- Clear pairs that block many others first.
- Each new species you connect is added to your reef guide, which you can open from “My stats & reef guide”.
- On Easy and Medium, “Show a pair” highlights a valid pair and “Shuffle” rearranges the remaining tiles.
Scoring
- Every correct connection is worth 100 points, scaled by difficulty (Easy ×0.8, Medium ×1, Hard ×1.3, Expert ×1.6).
- Connecting within 3 seconds adds 25 points, and each connection in a row adds 15 (up to 10 in a row).
- A miss scores nothing and resets your streak.
- Using a hint halves the points for that connection. Hints are only available on Easy and Medium.
- Harder difficulties have bigger boards with more species and fewer lives.
