How to play Deduce
A logic puzzle about people sitting in a row. Read the clues and work out who sits in each seat, and what they have.
Goal
Use the clues to work out exactly who sits where, and who owns or wears what.
How to play
- A row of people sits in numbered seats, seat 1 on the left. Each person has a name, and may have a pet, a drink and a shirt colour.
- Read the clues. Each one is a fact about the row, such as who sits next to whom, or who sits in a given seat.
- Fill the grid: for each seat, pick the item that belongs in each row. Every item is used exactly once per row.
- Press Check my answer. The puzzle has exactly one solution, so you can always get there by deduction.
- If you are wrong, the explanation shows which clues your grid breaks, plus the full solution.

Tips
- Start with clues that fix a seat or an end of the row.
- "Same person" clues let you move a fact from one row to another.
- Pairs such as "immediately left of" limit which seats two items can take.
- On Easy and Medium, a hint reveals one correct cell.
Scoring
- Every correct answer is worth 100 points, scaled by difficulty (Easy ×0.8, Medium ×1, Hard ×1.3, Expert ×1.6).
- Answering within 3 seconds adds a 25-point speed bonus.
- Each answer in a row adds a 15-point streak bonus, up to 10 in a row.
- Using a hint halves the points for that answer and skips the bonuses. Hints are only available on Easy and Medium.
- Your score, streak and achievements are saved to your account when the game ends.

Classic
A fixed number of rounds, then a results screen.
Endless
Keep playing until you press Quit.
Time Attack
Fit in as many rounds as you can before the clock runs out.
Survival
Play until you run out of lives or make the game-ending mistake.
