Your profile: details, photo and appearance
Change your name, username, photo and email, and choose how BrainTally looks.
Your profile is under Profile in the Account menu. It has two tabs: General for your details and how the app looks, and Security for your password, sign-in and devices.
Account completion#
The bar at the top shows how much of your account is set up, such as a password and two-step sign-in, and lists what's left.
Your details#
- First name (required) and last name (optional): how we address you, and the name on your certificates.
- Username (optional): 3 to 30 letters, numbers or underscores. We check it's free as you type. You can sign in with it instead of your email.
Press Save details when you're done.
Your photo#
Add a profile photo beside your details: a PNG, JPEG or WebP picture up to 2 MB. Photos are checked automatically, and one may be held for a quick review before it shows. Remove it any time.
Email address#
Your email is where sign-in links and results go. Changing it takes a confirmation from the new address. See Changing your email.
Appearance#
- Theme: Light, Dark, or System (follows your device). It applies to every BrainTally page on your account, on every device.
- Recent pages: turn the Recent list in the menu on or off.
The Security tab#

| Two-factor authentication | Turn on two-step sign-in. See Two-step sign-in. |
| Active sessions | Everywhere you're signed in right now. Device history is on the Security page. |
