The visual reasoning test

Five picture-based categories: visual-spatial processing, logical reasoning, quantitative reasoning, working memory and creative ability. 20 questions, no words or sums needed.

The visual test measures reasoning with pictures instead of words and numbers. It covers visual-spatial processing, logical reasoning, quantitative reasoning, working memory and creative ability: 20 questions.

How it works#

  1. Open Visual test in the Assessments menu, or follow Try the visual reasoning assessment from the standard test's start page.

  2. Start it just like the standard test. It has the same time limit, saves your answers as you go, and is handed in the same way. See Take the scored test.

  3. Each question is a picture or a pattern: work out the rule, then choose the answer that fits.

Which test should I take?#

They measure different things, so you can take both. Your results page and Results & reports keep them apart: a visual score and a standard score are on separate scales and shouldn't be compared with each other.
