The code is 1 2 3 4 and you guess 1 3 5 6. That's 1 exact (the 1) and 1 near (the 3).

How to play Code Breaker
Guess a hidden code of digits. After each guess you're told how many digits are in the right place and how many are in the code but in the wrong place.

Goal
Find the hidden code before you run out of guesses.
How to play
- The code is 3 to 5 digits long. The level says which digits it uses and whether a digit can appear twice.
- Enter a guess and press Guess.
- Exact counts digits that are right and in the right place. Near counts digits that are in the code but somewhere else.
- The answer doesn't say which digits are exact or near, only how many. Use your guesses to work it out.
Example
Keyboard
| Keys | What it does |
|---|---|
| 1–9 | Add a digit to your guess |
| Backspace | Remove the last digit |
| Enter | Make the guess |
Tips
- Make each new guess fit every answer so far.
- 0 exact, 0 near means none of those digits are in the code at all.
- On Easy and Medium, a hint suggests a strong guess (keeping digits you have typed that still fit) and says how many codes still fit; press it again to reveal one digit of the code.
Scoring
- Every correct answer is worth 100 points, scaled by difficulty (Easy ×0.8, Medium ×1, Hard ×1.3, Expert ×1.6).
- Answering within 3 seconds adds a 25-point speed bonus.
- Each answer in a row adds a 15-point streak bonus, up to 10 in a row.
- Using a hint halves the points for that answer and skips the bonuses. Hints are only available on Easy and Medium.
- Your score, streak and achievements are saved to your account when the game ends.
