How to play Target

Use the numbers you are given, with + − × and ÷, to make the target number.

Goal

Combine the given numbers with + − × ÷ to reach the target number exactly.

A target number and a set of numbers are shown.
Pick a number, pick an operation, then pick a second number. They are replaced by the result.
Subtraction must leave a positive number, and division must give a whole number.
Keep combining. You win the moment any number on the board equals the target.
Each original number can be used at most once, and you do not have to use them all. Undo takes back your last move.
If you give up or run out of time, the explanation shows a shortest route to the target.

Target 24, numbers 4, 6, 1, 3. Pick 4, then ×, then 6. They become 24 and you win.

Target 10, numbers 3, 7, 5. Pick 3, +, 7 to make 10.

Work backwards from the target: what could you add to, or multiply, to get there?
Get close with the large numbers first, then adjust with the small ones.
Look for pairs that divide evenly. A quotient can be a handy building block.
On Easy and Medium, the hint reveals the solution one step at a time.

Every correct answer is worth 100 points, scaled by difficulty (Easy ×0.8, Medium ×1, Hard ×1.3, Expert ×1.6).
Answering within 3 seconds adds a 25-point speed bonus.
Each answer in a row adds a 15-point streak bonus, up to 10 in a row.
Using a hint halves the points for that answer and skips the bonuses. Hints are only available on Easy and Medium.
Your score, streak and achievements are saved to your account when the game ends.

Classic

A fixed number of rounds, then a results screen.

Endless

Keep playing until you press Quit.

Time Attack

Fit in as many rounds as you can before the clock runs out.

Survival

Play until you run out of lives or make the game-ending mistake.
