How to play Colour Clash
A colour word appears printed in a coloured ink - say, the word RED in blue. Tap the ink colour, not the word.

Goal
Answer as many rounds as you can, quickly and correctly, without letting the word pull you to the wrong button.
How to play
- Each round shows one word. Its ink is what counts, unless the cue says otherwise.
- Tap the button with the ink's name. The buttons never move, so your hand can learn them.
- From Hard, the cue above the word sometimes says Tap the word - then answer what the word says, not its ink.
- Every round has a time limit, from 5 seconds on Easy to 2.2 on Expert.
Example
Keyboard
| Keys | What it does |
|---|---|
| 1–5 | Choose a colour, in button order |
Tips
- Look at the edge of a letter rather than reading the word; the colour arrives before the meaning.
- Read the cue first on Hard and Expert, every time.
- On Easy and Medium, a hint blurs the word so only the ink is left.
Scoring
- Every correct answer is worth 100 points, scaled by difficulty (Easy ×0.8, Medium ×1, Hard ×1.3, Expert ×1.6).
- Answering within 3 seconds adds a 25-point speed bonus.
- Each answer in a row adds a 15-point streak bonus, up to 10 in a row.
- Using a hint halves the points for that answer and skips the bonuses. Hints are only available on Easy and Medium.
- Your score, streak and achievements are saved to your account when the game ends.
