You can try BrainTally for free, with no card, before you pay for anything, and your overall score is always free. So please use the free plan and samples to decide: what you pay for is delivered the moment you open it.
When we refund
We'll refund a payment in full if all of these are true. We look at every request individually and may offer a credit instead.
- You ask within 3 days of the payment.
- It's a first payment: a Score Report or retake you bought, or the first payment of a new membership or add-on.
- You haven't opened what you paid for since: no full results or certificate opened, no retake taken, and no more than 20 questions, words or game rounds.
- You haven't had a refund from us before. We refund each customer once.
Things you buy once
A Score Report or retake is delivered as soon as you open the results or start the retake, and from then on it can't be refunded. If we refund one you haven't used, that test's full results lock again and any unused retakes are taken back.
Renewals
Renewal payments aren't refunded — cancel any time before the renewal date to stop the next one. If a renewal went through that you meant to cancel, ask within 48 hours and, if you haven't used anything since it, we'll refund it.
Yearly billing
A yearly payment is refunded on the terms above within 3 days. After that, cancelling stops the next renewal and you keep everything until the end of the year you've paid for; we don't refund unused months.
How to ask
Go to your billing page, find the payment, and choose “Request refund”. Tell us briefly what happened. We usually reply within one or two working days, by email and on your billing page. Refunds reach your card within 5–10 working days.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from your billing page. You keep everything you've paid for until the end of the current month or year, and you won't be charged again.
Changing plans and billing
Upgrading, or moving from monthly to yearly billing, charges only the difference for the rest of the period. Downgrading, or moving from yearly to monthly, takes effect when the period you've paid for ends, so there's nothing to refund.
Your legal rights
Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Where the law where you live gives you a longer right to cancel, that right applies. By opening what you've bought straight away, you agree it's delivered at once, which ends a right to cancel where the law allows that.
Billing issues
If you think you were charged in error, contact us and we'll put it right, including reversing a charge caused by a problem on our side. Refunds aren't given where there's evidence of misuse, such as repeatedly buying and refunding.
